Child Safety Standards — Fledr

Last Updated: 30-Jun-2026

Operated by Fledr Technologies, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Fledr is an LGBTQ+ friendly dating and matrimony application for adults aged 18 and above. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page outlines our published standards against CSAE, how we protect children, and how users and authorities can report concerns — in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.

1. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Fledr strictly prohibits all forms of CSAE. The following are forbidden on our platform:

  • Any sexual content involving minors (persons under 18 years of age)
  • Grooming, solicitation, or exploitation of minors
  • Sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Creating accounts by or on behalf of minors
  • Any attempt to contact, match with, or communicate with users known or suspected to be under 18
  • Using Fledr to facilitate trafficking or exploitation of children

Violations result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

2. Age Restriction — Adults Only (18+)

Fledr is intended exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older.

  • All users must verify their age during registration
  • Accounts suspected or confirmed to belong to minors are permanently removed
  • We use automated and manual review to detect underage users
  • Google Play's Restrict Minor Access feature is enabled for Fledr

3. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

When Fledr obtains actual knowledge of CSAM on our platform, we take immediate action:

  1. Remove the content and disable the associated account without delay
  2. Preserve evidence as required by applicable law
  3. Report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities, including:
    • India: National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and local law enforcement
    • International: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable
  4. Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations

4. Reporting Mechanism

Users can report CSAE concerns or suspicious behavior through multiple channels:

  • In-app: Use the Report button on any profile or chat message within the Fledr app
  • Email: support@fledr.in with subject "Child Safety Report"
  • Website: Contact form on our website

All reports related to child safety are prioritized and reviewed within 24 hours. Urgent CSAM reports are escalated immediately.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

Fledr employs a combination of technology and human review to prevent CSAE:

  • AI-based content scanning for prohibited imagery and behavior
  • 24/7 human moderation team for flagged content and user reports
  • Proactive detection of grooming patterns and suspicious account activity
  • Permanent bans for CSAE violations with no appeal

Our full enforcement standards are also described in our Community Guidelines and User Safety Policy.

6. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Fledr complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations, including:

  • Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT Rules, 2021 (India)
  • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 (India)
  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India)
  • Applicable international frameworks for CSAM reporting

We maintain documented procedures for identifying, removing, and reporting CSAM to relevant regional authorities.

7. Child Safety Point of Contact

Fledr designates the following individual as the child safety point of contact for notifications from Google Play and other authorities regarding CSAE content on our platform:

Name: Simranjeet Singh
Role: Grievance Officer & Child Safety Contact

This contact is authorized to speak to enforcement and review procedures and to take action when required.
